Initially, salary adjustment negotiations between the Springs and the team were delayed. As the related news had not been reported in the meantime, some fans observed that it would be passed on to the annual salary adjustment committee, but the news of the contract extension was announced that day, and fans’ concerns were alleviated.

Springs posted 135.1 innings last year with a ERA of 2.46, 9 wins and 5 losses, and recorded the second-highest ERA among pitchers in 100 innings in a season in club history.
