Ahn Byeong-hoon (32) laid the groundwork for entering the top 10 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (total prize money of 9 million dollars) of the PGA Tour.

In the second round of the tournament held at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72) in California on the 4th (Korean time), Ahn Byeong-hoon scored 3 under par 69 with 5 birdies and 2 bogeys.

Ahn Byeong-hoon, who recorded a total of 5 under par 138 strokes on two days, raised his ranking from a tie for 47th the previous day to a tie for 22nd. He is four strokes behind the sole leader, Kurt Kitayama (USA).

Ahn Byeong-hun, who won the Korn Ferry Tour (Part 2) last season and won the PGA Tour card again this season, created a chance to rise to the second top 10 in the 2022-23 season. He finished in a tie for fourth at the Fortinet Championships last September, when he was returning to the PGA Tour, and had no top 10 for the next 10 events.

Ahn Byeong-hoon easily caught a birdie by putting a wedge shot 50cm from the pin in hole 2 (par 5), and then wrote down a bogey on his tee shot off the fairway in hole 4 (par 4). In the 6th hole (par 5), he landed his third shot 1m away and got another birdie.

After another bogey on the 10th hole (par 4) in the second half, only three birdies were caught to change the atmosphere. Ahn Byeong-hun, who recorded a birdie at a tricky distance of 4m on the 14th hole (par 5), added a stepping stone birdie within 3m on the 16th hole (par 4) and 18th hole (par 5) to finish the game in a good mood.

In this tournament, rounds 1 to 3 are played in turn at three courses, including Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Course, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club, followed by a cut-off. The winner is born at the Pebble Beach Golf Links course where the final round is played. 메이저놀이터

Pebble Beach Golf Links is considered the most difficult of the three courses. Because it is located on the coast, it is most exposed to the sea breeze. Meanwhile, Ahn Byeong-hoon, who has improved his ranking, will play the third round at the Spyglass Hill course.

On the Spyglass Hill course, Kang Seong-hun cut 1 stroke to rank in a tie for 35th (3 under par, 194 strokes), and Noh Seung-yeol, who played on the same course, also recorded 1 under par and tied for 57th (1 under par, 143 strokes). Kim Seong-hyeon (25) improved her ranking to 76th (even par 144) by reducing two strokes at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. In the coming 3rd round, you have to reduce the number of strokes more to pass the cut.
