A soldier in his 20s died in a shooting accident during shooting training at an army base.
According to the Army and the police on the 22nd안전놀이터, at around 12:18 noon on the same day, Private A was shot while practicing personal firearms shooting with a K-2 rifle at an army unit in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do.
It is known that Private A was hit by a bullet fired from his own gun.
Private A was reported in a state of cardiac arrest, received first aid from the ambulance team, and was urgently transported to a nearby private hospital, but eventually died.
It was found that the accident occurred on this day while Private A received 20 additional rounds after the first shot and was shooting.
Regarding the accident that day, an Army official said, “We express our deep condolences for the death of the deceased and express our deepest condolences to the bereaved family.”
